Last days in Turkey

We are down to our last week in Turkey.  We've spent 2 years here, and now it's time to move on.  Saying goodbye is always so bittersweet.  And with the majority of our friends moving before us, it seems like we've been saying goodbye forever now.  After awhile, the goodbyes get dragged out and it's just time to go.

But not before some last get-togethers.  Here are some pics of our last few days here in Turkey:

We had dinner with our dear friends the McGintys.

Shane & his adopted daughter Sarah.

Me and Tina, my friend & mentor.

Hatice invited us to her house for dinner.

I will miss this lady immensely!

Homemade chicken tava - yummy!

I enjoyed this meal so much - Hatice's family is so warm & welcoming.

Me and Dr. Unal, one of the Turkish docs I work with.

We had a ladies brunch downtown.

Me and Heather, my co-worker and friend.

With some of the gals from clinic at my going-away party.

Me and Sarah, a good friend who has moved already.

We tried "manti" for the first time.

Manti is sort of a Turkish version of ravioli.

Dinner with Jake & Rana, another great family that has left already.

With Gokay, our good friend who owns this carpet store.

A few more "lasts" this week.  Last church service.  Last carpet party.  Last youth group.  Last day in clinic.  Then we're outta here!
