Last month my husband and I went with some friends on a 7-day Baltic cruise. We ported out of Warnemunde, Germany; a quaint little town near Hamburg. We cruised with MSC, which is a lower-cost European cruise line. It's our third cruise here in Europe (the first one was with Louis Majesty out of Turkey, the second one was with Costa out of Barcelona). We enjoyed our time visiting all of these amazing places, and highly recommend the Baltic cruise as a way of seeing Northern Europe.
